What is made-to-measure?
When you step into menswear, you have a few options. Off-the-rack is made for anyone. Custom tailoring starts there and adjusts. Made-to-measure is different — it’s built for you, from scratch, around your exact shape. At Shepherd’s, every garment is cut and sewn specifically for the person wearing it.
What it is
Built from scratch, for you.
Every panel and every seam is cut to your specific proportions. Not a mannequin. Not a model. You.
What it isn’t
Not tailoring an existing garment.
We don’t start with a finished jacket and alter it. We start with fabric and build around you from the first cut.
Why it matters
Fit changes everything.
The way a garment sits on your shoulders, drapes through the chest, and breaks at the trouser determines how you carry yourself.
Fitting vs. measuring.
A measurement can tell us your chest is 42 inches. But a measurement can’t tell us your arms sit further forward on your torso, your left shoulder drops slightly, or that your back is wider than your chest. Every man has a unique combination of asymmetries and proportions.
When we fit you, we account for all of it. The result isn’t a garment made for a man with a 42-inch chest — it’s a garment made specifically for you.

Every Shepherd’s garment follows the same path from your fitting to your door in six to eight weeks.

Book your fitting
Schedule an in-person or virtual fitting with one of our master fitters at a time that works for you.

Your fitting
We get to know you, select your fabric from over 10,000 options, and fit the garment to every nuance of your shape.

We make it
Your garment is cut and sewn from scratch at our family-owned European factory with an exceptional level of handwork.

Delivered to you
In 4–6 weeks, your garment arrives with our custom wooden hanger and garment bag. Alterations on us if needed — but they rarely are.
