Come by our showroom in Kansas City for a fitting with one of our master fitters. We’ll have a cold one waiting.
Place the tape measure around your upper chest and pull it snug but not tight. Take two or three regular breaths, letting the tape measure expand naturally with each breath. The measured number in inches is your jacket size. We recommend doing this a few times and taking the average number. If you land on an odd number, choose the next even size up.
Let us know what size you currently wear in the waist of chinos or dress trousers. Choose that size. If they fit really tight in the waist and seat, choose one size up.
Short: Recommended for Gentlemen under 5'9. This size will also have shorter sleeves, to match the shorter jacket length. The jacket will end around the middle to the bottom of your seat.
Regular: Recommended for Gentlemen 5'9 to 6'0. The jacket will end around the middle to the bottom of your seat.
Long: Recommended for Gentlemen over 6'0, or those with long torsos and arms. The jacket will end around the middle to the bottom of your seat.
Thin: I find most pants too wide or baggy in the leg.
Average: Most pants fit my legs, and are not too tight in the thigh.
Muscular: I struggle to find pants that fit my thighs.
None: The trouser leg will sit right at the top of your shoe, every so slightly sitting on it.
Slight: The trouser leg will have a very small break across the top of the shoe, with one dimple on the pants.
Full: The trouser leg will have one large, or two smaller breaks on the top of the shoe.
Fit: I always wear slim-fit shirts, and find that most jackets off the rack have too much room in the waist.
Medium: I typically wear an athletic-fit shirt, and want a well-cut jacket, with just enough room.
Significant: I typically wear a classic-fit shirt, and struggle to find shirts and jackets that fit at the waist.
Cuff: The trousers will have a standard one-and-a-half-inch cuff.
Plain: The trousers will have a plain bottom and no cuff.
Fit: Jackets always fit my chest well off the track.
Medium: Jackets are sometimes tight in the chest and upper back.
Significant: Jackets never fit my chest well, and always feel tight and constricting.
Erect: When standing comfortably, my shoulders are either set back, or shoulders sit behind my hips. (When looking at my side profile)
Balanced: When standing comfortably, my shoulders are aligned with my hips.
Rounded: When standing comfortably, my shoulders are in front of my hips, and my back and shoulders are rounded forward.
None: My shoulders are horizontal, and jackets typically feel comfortable in the armpit.
Slight: My shoulders slope slightly, and the armpit of jackets is sometimes tight.
Significant: My shoulders lack a horizontal plane, and slope downward significantly.
Classic: Our classic-cut jacket will have an extra inch in the waist and a half-inch in the chest. It is perfect for those who want a roomier garment.
