Mill History
Lanificio Zignone was established when Gilio Zignone, originally working as a wool trader, responded to client demand by moving into production and, in 1968, founded the mill in Strona (Valle di Mosso) in the textile-rich Biella region of Italy. Over successive decades, the company consolidated its production chain – spinning, weaving, finishing – under one roof and invested in weaving innovation, performance treatments, and full raw-material traceability. Today, under the third generation, the mill emphasizes combining Italian "Made in Biella" heritage with contemporary demands for performance, sustainability, and global supply.
Why We Love Lanificio Zignone
Zignone runs right down the middle of the barrel between luxury and affordability. We love their twills and seersuckers made from wool. The quality is clean, breathable, and has some stretch – making it ideal for travel while maintaining elegance.
